about me

After working in roles, both on magazines and as a stylist and art curator, in Hong Kong, I have developed an extensive network of leading fashion, art, textile and interior design contacts and am well positioned to facilitate and support artists, gallery owners and event teams wishing to develop projects or seeking product placement, particularly with an Australian focus. I believe in sustainable fashion and the slow approach to design so where possible I utilise textile remnants and deadstock fabric that would otherwise go to landfill.

The online shop is a space to showcase my love of vintage designer pieces, re-worked fashion, stationary and hand-embroidered linen. If you wish to get in touch please email me on ingrid@byingrid.com. I look forward to collaborating with you!

From 2012 to 2021: Author and artist Meredith Gaston Masnata collaboration on an annual collection of whimsical pieces designed for Sussan Group Australia with a percentage of sales going directly to Breast Cancer Network Australia. Over 2.3 million dollars was raised for this cause over the years.

With Australian weaver and architect Natalie Miller, I helped build and install her designs for two 12-metre-high by six-metre in diameter macramé chandeliers that hung in Pacific Place, Hong Kong for Swire Group Chinese New Year 2016. Helped oversee the dyeing for the cotton rope that was used in the making.

Assisted with development of an Australian presence for a leading yarn company while profiling and focusing on the work of Australian artists who work with wool and cotton. Project resulted in the launch of a range of pre-consumer cashmere and Merino yarns. Curated two textile exhibitions with Australian and international artists in Sydney, Australia.

Facilitate and conduct tours through Hong Kong's fabric district Sham Shui Po for interested individuals and design and fashion industry professionals as required.
